Just for fun
DCM 5410 TR, in your browser Beta
The AC and DC clamp. Zero the DC offset, clamp a solar string, capture a motor's starting surge, then check frequency, duty cycle, capacitance and temperature with the same meter.
Turn the dial, click the left trigger to open or close the jaw. Keys: ↑ ↓ dial, J jaw, S SELECT, H HOLD, B backlight, Z ZERO.

How the DCM 5410 TR works
- AC and DC current: on the 60 A and 600/1000 A positions the orange SELECT button switches between AC (True-RMS) and DC. DC current uses a Hall-effect sensor, which has an offset. Open the jaw (or clamp nothing) and press ZERO before every DC reading.
- Inrush (INR): hold ZERO/INR to enter inrush mode, then start the motor. The meter captures the peak starting current, typically several times the running current.
- REL: press REL to store the present reading as a reference. After that the display shows the difference. Hold it down for the torch.
- Frequency and duty: the Hz% position measures from 10 Hz to 10 MHz; SELECT toggles frequency and duty cycle, useful for PWM and inverter outputs.
- Capacitance and temperature: the Ω position also covers continuity, diode test and capacitance (1 nF to 10 mF). The °C °F position reads a K-type thermocouple from -20 °C to 1000 °C. Discharge capacitors before testing.
- Ghost voltage, NCV: Low-Z mode ignores ghost voltage. The NCV position senses the field around live conductors.
This is a training simulation. Ranges and functions come from the DCM 5410 TR specification. The exact button behaviour (including which press does what), display layout and the continuity buzzer threshold are approximated; MIN/MAX and the Live-wire probe test are not simulated. Always follow the instruction manual, use the correct CAT-rated leads and treat every circuit as live until proved dead.
