Single-phase and three-phase relay test sets for commissioning and testing of protection relays. Variable AC/DC current and voltage sources with phase angle control.
RTS-5
Single-phase relay test set — 0–200 A AC current (14 V/4 V), 0–250 V AC, built-in digital timer. Max 400 VA.
RTS-5A
Portable trolley-style single-phase relay test set — 0–200 A AC (6 V/50 V), AC or DC voltage output, dual-range timer. Max 1000 VA.
RTS-33
Three-phase, two-unit relay test set — 0–360° phase angle, 0–50 A current, 415 V 3-phase input. For distance, directional, and differential relay testing.
Protection relay testing is a critical activity in power system commissioning and maintenance — every relay protecting a transmission line, transformer, bus, or feeder must be tested to verify that it will operate correctly under fault conditions. CIE manufactures single-phase and three-phase relay test sets for secondary current injection testing of protection relays.
The CIE RTS-5 and RTS-5A are single-phase relay test sets providing continuously variable AC current from 0 to 200 A across multiple ranges, with built-in digital timer (0–99.99 sec), digital ammeter, and AC voltmeter. They are used for testing over-current relays, earth fault relays, and other single-phase protection devices. The RTS-33 is a three-phase relay test set providing variable three-phase AC current, AC and DC voltage, and continuously variable phase angle (0–360°) — essential for testing distance relays, differential relays, and directional protection relays.
CIE relay test sets are used by protection engineers at power utilities, EPC commissioning companies, and testing laboratories. They are supplied to PGCIL, WBSETCL, state electricity boards, Indian Railways, and commissioning contractors across India — Kolkata, Howrah, Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Lucknow, Chandigarh, and all major power sector locations.
