Multirange Insulation Testers (Hand-Driven)

CIE multirange insulation testers are hand-driven generator-type instruments with a selectable test voltage and multiple insulation resistance ranges on a single instrument. A selector switch allows the operator to choose the required test voltage and range combination without needing separate instruments for different applications. This makes them particularly cost-effective for electrical contractors, testing laboratories, and utilities that test equipment at multiple voltage levels.

The MR series instruments are available in configurations from MR-1 (two voltage ranges) through MR-8 (up to eight combinations), covering test voltages from 100 V to 5000 V. Many variants also include a continuity testing range, allowing the same instrument to verify both insulation integrity and circuit continuity. All instruments use the same silent, hand-driven clutch-type AC generator mechanism and cross-coil indicator as the standard CIE range.
