About This Instrument

The CIE/777 HM combines mains-motor drive with a collapsible hand-crank backup in one instrument. It shares the same motor-driven sustained-voltage capability as the CIE/777 for polarization index (PI) and dielectric absorption testing, while the centrifugal governor (clutch) on the hand-driven circuit ensures constant output voltage when operating by hand crank where mains power is unavailable. The collapsible generator handle is specific to the 777 HM — it is not present on the plain CIE/777. Weight is 12 kg (including top cover), notably heavier than the 777's 9 kg due to the additional hand-drive mechanism. Housed in the same seasoned wooden cabinet with sunmica finish. Conforms to IS: 2992-1987. Note on HV testing leads: catalogue lists HV leads as optional/extra cost; price list states one pair supplied standard. Confirm with factory.
