About This Instrument
The CIE/777/MR is a motorised multi-voltage insulation tester with a dual-scale (inner/outer) reading arrangement. Unlike the range-selector-switch approach used in the hand-driven CIE/444/MR and CIE/666/MR, the 777/MR uses two concentric scales on a single movement: the inner scale covers a standard resistance range and the outer scale covers an extended range, at each rated voltage. This lets the operator read either range without switching instruments. Five series (MR-A to MR-E) cover different combinations of rated voltage and inner/outer scale ranges. Retains full sustained-voltage capability (motor-driven) for PI and dielectric absorption testing.
