About This Instrument
The Vartech LCM-1 is a high-precision portable LC meter with a 4-digit LCD display. It measures inductance and capacitance across a wide range using two modes: Low Range (C: 1 pF to 10 µF, L: 1 µH to 100 mH) at a 500 kHz test frequency, and High Range (C: 1 µF to 100 mF, L: 100 mH to 100 H) at 500 Hz to 50 kHz. A dedicated Zero button nulls out test-lead and fixture offset before measurement, while the Hi.C / Hi.L / L-C mode keys let you switch ranges with a single press — the meter also auto powers-off to save battery when idle. It ships with a pair of alligator-clip test leads plus an SMD/through-hole tweezer probe, so both leaded and surface-mount components can be measured directly without extra accessories. Ideal for incoming component inspection, component sorting, resonant circuit design and general electronics lab work.
