Indian Railways is one of the largest users of electrical test and measurement instruments in India. Traction sub-stations, overhead equipment (OHE), rolling stock, and signalling systems all require regular insulation testing, earth resistance verification, and relay testing. CIE instruments have been specified by Railway workshops for decades.
